Frequently Asked Questions

What does Gahan AI do?

Gahan AI strives to democratize active safety on Indian Roads and make those technology more accessable and affordable. Gahan AI is committed to enhancing vehicle safety on Indian roads. Our advanced AI based sensor technology generates a 3D occupancy map with high fidelity even under adverse weather conditions and low visibility, ensuring safety at affordable cost.

What is DRWIG?
Gahan AI's sensor portfolio, known as DRWIG, includes the HF Board Design and Programming, FMCW mm Wave 77-81GHz Automotive Radar, and a 120-degree Field of View Camera Sensor with high low-light performance. These sensors are designed and developed entirely in-house, tailored to Indian traffic and road conditions. They can detect objects, determine distance, location, and relative speed, offering affordable and high-fidelity performance with Edge AI and Machine Learning. DRWIG sensors are highly precise, capable of functioning in adverse environments such as fog and dust storms and have a detection range of up to 150 meters, making them reliable all-weather sensors.
Difference between DRWIG One and DRWIG RC
The DRWIG sensor line includes two distinct technologies: DRWIG One, which uses radar technology exclusively, and DRWIG RC, which combines radar and camera technologies. DRWIG RC typically offers more advanced capabilities due to its combined sensor types, providing both visual and distance/speed data. DRWIG One is suitable for basic radar-based applications like adaptive cruise control and collision avoidance, while DRWIG RC is used in more advanced ADAS and autonomous driving systems that require a combination of radar and camera inputs.
Sensor vs Non sensor variant ?
A sensor variant of a vehicle incorporates technologies such as radar, lidar, cameras, and ultrasonic sensors, tailored to specific applications and requirements. These sensors enable the vehicle to collect environmental data, detect obstacles, measure distances, recognize objects, and capture visual information. This inclusion enhances capabilities, providing advanced functionalities like adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, and even autonomous driving. Sensor variants improve safety by continuously monitoring surroundings, offering early warnings, and assisting in collision prevention. However, they tend to be more expensive due to added components and technology, and their performance can be influenced by environmental conditions, requiring periodic calibration and maintenance for accuracy. In contrast, non-sensor variants lack real-time data collection capabilities, leading to fewer advanced driver assistance features and reliance on simpler feedback mechanisms. These variants are simpler in design, more cost-effective to produce and maintain, but have limited functionality and safety features compared to their sensor-equipped counterparts.
What are components used/equipped in golfcart?
GNSS & IMU (inside box), 360-degree Lidar, Front stereo camera, Front Lidar, Front MR and ASAR radar, rear Lidar.
Difference between ADKIT passenger and ADKIT commercial?

The ADKIT Passenger variant is designed for consumer vehicles, such as personal cars or passenger vehicles used in ride-sharing services. It focuses on enhancing safety, comfort, and convenience for passengers, featuring advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), navigation capabilities, and potentially some autonomous driving features suitable for private use.

In contrast, ADKIT Commercial is tailored for commercial vehicles and applications, such as delivery trucks, public transportation vehicles, and autonomous taxis. It emphasizes logistics efficiency, route optimization, and functionalities specific to commercial operations. This variant might include robust fleet management capabilities, advanced sensor systems optimized for urban driving or cargo transportation, and compliance with commercial vehicle regulations.
