Our Mission

Built for Bharat.
Owned by India.

Gahan AI was founded on a single conviction: India cannot build autonomous vehicles, smart cities, or a sovereign defence capability on someone else's radar technology. We are here to change that.

Why We Started Gahan AI

The founders of Gahan AI met at the intersection of defence electronics, automotive engineering, and AI research. They shared a frustration: every time India tried to build an advanced ADAS or autonomous vehicle system, it hit the same wall — there were no domestic radar sensors to build on.

Importing radar sensors meant importing assumptions — about road layouts, traffic behaviour, weather patterns, and driving styles that simply do not apply to India. It meant supply chain vulnerability, foreign exchange drain, and permanent technological dependence for a safety-critical system.

In 2022, we set out to build the radar stack that India needs. Not a research project. Not a startup that ships slides to customers. A production-ready, TRL-8 certified radar platform that OEMs can put in vehicles and defence agencies can deploy tomorrow.

That platform is DRWIG — Automotive-grade Radar With Indigenous Genius. And it's built entirely in India.

Our Engineering Values

Safety First

Every design decision is made with functional safety in mind. We hold ISO 26262 ASIL-B as a minimum standard, not an aspirational target.

Production Reality

We build for the factory floor, not the lab bench. TRL-8 means our technology is ready to be manufactured, deployed, and maintained at scale.

India-Native

Our datasets, test scenarios, and ML training are built on Indian roads, Indian weather, and Indian traffic. We understand Bharat's unique mobility challenges.

Deep IP

Ten patents protect our core radar signal processing, antenna design, and perception algorithms. We invest in knowledge that belongs to India.

Partner of Choice

Texas Instruments chose us as their only Indian automotive radar partner because we share their commitment to engineering rigour and long-term thinking.

Mission Clarity

We have one mission: end India's radar import dependency. Every hire, every patent, every customer conversation brings us closer to that goal.

Texas Instruments' Automotive Radar Partner

In 2023, Texas Instruments selected Gahan AI as their exclusive Indian automotive radar design partner — one of only a handful of companies globally with this designation.

This partnership gives Gahan AI priority access to TI's latest mmWave radar SoCs, early access to next-generation chipsets, dedicated application engineering support, and joint go-to-market initiatives with India's automotive OEM ecosystem.

For OEMs, it means DRWIG is built on the world's most advanced automotive radar silicon, with a local support structure that foreign sensor suppliers cannot match.
